Text editors: some brief thoughts

Some brief commentary on the three text editors I have loved.

  • VIM: it’s pretty much everywhere and worth at least knowing the basics for.

    • a friend recently sent me this handy guide that goes from basic to very advanced: https://danielmiessler.com/study/vim/#approach

  • VS Code: Increasingly popular, and I can see why. It is very extensible but also straightforward to use.

  • Notepad++: VS Code has pretty much replaced it for me.
